Assalamualaikum.
So I was scrolling the IIUM Online group dkt facebook, wat relaks2 macam xde keje padahal ada sebongkah kayu nak diukir....
Jarang sebenarnya nak tgk group ni tp terasa nak bukak pulak pagi ni, and I found this:
Kalau tak silap, akak nilah salah sorg wakil KAED yg menang election hari tu, being the only sister.
And so I read the comments, as usual..
Banyak tips and teguran no? Alhamdulillah.. :)
Back in CFS, I used to do my work dekat studio mahallah, which is free from the brothers maka aksi2 kami buat kerja dan tidur juga freestyle. So it wasn't really a problem back then kalau nk stay up. But since kat sini takde studio dkt mahallah, nak tak nak, some work, you will really need to use the studio and therefore will have to go to KAED.
So far I haven't had the need to stay dkt studio, but knowing the nature of the course, I know time like this will come sooner or later. My friends who are taking Architecture and QS pun, dah mula buat kerja dkt studio sampai pukul 2-3, 4-5 pagi.. oh, even some from my course pun prefer to do their work at the studio as well sebenarnya.
Sometimes bukan tak boleh nak buat kerja kat bilik, but some people need company to make sure they didnt fall asleep. Trust me, forcing yourself to stay up doing work while your room mates are sleeping, and knowing that your bed is just right next to you, is not easy, especially when you hadn't had any sleep at all for the past hours..
Anyway, nak terhadkan masa tak lebih pukul 12, lepas tu balik mahallah, would be quite hard I suppose, especially when you need to use the studio tables and stuffs like that.
The part mintak brothers temankan tu, serious segan sebenarnya. Plus, they need to do their work too. Tapi memandangkan agak bahayalah UIA ni dgn macam2 kes yg dengar baru2 ni, takboleh nk buat apalah. Kalau tak nak diteman jugak, er, stay je lah dkt KAED sampai subuh~ kot?
Oh and jangan gerak sorang-sorang. notetoself.
The thing is you need to stay up and awake, but you need some rest at times. Tak terfikir pulak pasal tidur dkt surau KAED. Betul jugak kan..
Tapi kalau semua tido situ pun tak boleh jadi jugak kan. In my studio, we got one room which was originally bilik stor, lepas gotong royong hari tu, got some space (and the sisters thought of buying tikar ke apa kan, selesalah sikit.) Which is, quite cool. We can even pray kat dalam tu.. toilet pun sebelah studio je....... (tapi studio panjang so sebelah tu takdelah dekat mana, but, dekatlah jugak. :P)

Ayu said in their studio, the seniors even made a compartment (was it?) for the sisters to rehat-rehat.
Sedih kan hidup ktorang? HAHAHAH. ok abaikan.
Jihad! Jihad!
:D

"Ramai orang pakai niqab kan , sekarang..?"
Jeling. "dan...?" Sinis.
".. tapikan, macam trend pulak.."
"kan..?" Senyum. Expected.
but who are we to judge people's intention..?
Dulu hari kantin sekolah, buat tema Souq Al-Arabiyyah. Pasar Arab.
And the girls were encouraged to wear niqab. I tried, for one whole day. Yelah, bila lagi kan..
I felt, yes, protected.
Macam lebih senang berurusan dengan orang, I mean, people appreciate your communication skill more.
Dan, kurang segan untuk bercakap dengan lelaki.
"The less you reveal, the more people can wonder.."
So anyway, last Friday, we went to the workshop for our second project. (Workshops bukak masa office hour je, kalau bukak sampai malam I bet everyone would stay there.)
We need to wear the mask as it was going to be very dusty.. veerry dusty. Banyak kali jugaklah kena bukak nak amek nafas n lap peluh. -.-
And I tell myself, "If this is how it's like, I can never be a niqabi."
Aalaa, my studio-mate from Egypt, (married and pregnant hikhik) said so too. Lebih kurang: "I can never wear a niqab. Back in Egypt, I used to wear it once because everyone else there is wearing it..I don't think I can stand wearing it.. " *Takes off her mask* "Take a breath..!" *Laughs*
Salutations to the niqabis! .. and the doctors, dentists, ehh..
Oh and when I was using the router, I didn't wear the workshop goggle. So another studio-mate of mine, Hakim gave me the goggle and I put it on. Seconds after, tak sempat nak on balik mesin tu, I took it off. "Tak nampak?"
"Tak!"
"Pakai lah dua-dua. Aku pakai dua-dua jugak tadi."
"Bukan tak nampak apa, WAP!"
hahah. Sape pakai spek mesti faham.
Lepas guna mesin tu memang macam mandi debu lah.
Angkat tangan nak lap peluh, and the dust on my sleeves masuk mata. Seronoknya.
Oh and and,
Aa tengah tunggu kayu dia kena potong dekat bandsaw and our lecturer, brother Ismail nak tunjuk kat org lain yg dorg boleh buat mcm Aa to make things easier. But he forgot her name...
"Tu, macam yg siapa tu buat, siapa nama dia?"
"Kat band?"
"Kak Ben?"
"Eh tak, yang dekat bandsaw tu ke?"
"Ohh. Amboi kau, aku ingat, sekolah agama panggil kak ben, kak ben.."
and I was like, brother, you don't know Irshadians and nicknames. I wonder how would it be like kalau brother tau what people call me. hahaha.

Masa study circle II hari tu, ada mass lecture and it was about Justice. Gulsum abla (Kak Gulsum, she is my naqibah, from Turkey) was very disappointed when we we're not being that active in the class. So she said "Those who are in my class, please raise your hands." Pastu kenalah respon kan dkt soalan tu..
"What do you think of when you see the word Justice.." my study circle mate, a senior, talks about being justice to the knife, using it to cut meat and not to hammer a nail. Fatma abla turned to our side and said "I saw someone else raising their hands over here."
Ah sudah.
Gave my opinion on Justice, how justice doesn't really have to mean equal in quantity, and she asked
"What do you do, sister?"
"I'm doing applied arts and design.."
"Sorry?"
"I'm from KAED.."
"Ohh. I thought you're doing social sciences."
:)
Oh and Qila asked Sis Gulsum if she ever gets mad. And she said, rarely.
So we asked why, she answered it with a poem.
"I used to be really mad at someone until I read a poem, about love.."
"Say it in Turkish.."
"Would you understand?" *Speaks in Turkish*
Ternganga. HAHAHA. So she translated the poem and basically it says, don't waste your time hating people as you may not realise how time flies, and you'll regret not loving them when you had the time.
